The first thing that happened that day was the opening of the company's new office and plant in Palingon-Tipas, Taguig City. The party went late into the night with the annual Customers Night at The Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City. Nearly 200 people, including customers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, came to the events of the day. Their important efforts have been key to Sika's success in the country for 30 years.

Department of Transportation (DOTR) Undersecretaries Jeremy Regino and Bobby Lim, Director of Public Works and Highway - Bureau of Research and Standards (DPWH-BRS) Reynaldo Faustino, and Atty. Maria Theresa Veloso, head of the Taguig City Business Permit Licensing Office were among the important people who attended. Dr. Nicolas Brühl, who is the Swiss ambassador to the Philippines, was also there.

As General Manager for the Philippines, Christophe Lejeune led the Sika team. Gaby El Chaar was the Area Manager for Southeast Asia, and Philippe Jost was the President of Asia Pacific.

"Sika's global footprint, spanning 103 countries over 114 years, instills confidence in the bright future of Philippine construction and infrastructure," said Philippe Jost, CEO. He was positive about the new plant in Taguig by talking about how the company has grown quickly and how it recently bought Parex and MBCC.

DOTR Undersecretary Jeremy Regino praised Sika for their important work in building up the country's infrastructure, especially in the railway field. Undersecretary Bobby Lim agreed with this and praised Sika's determination to leave a long mark on the country.

Dr. Nicolas Brühl praised the new plant as a shining example of Swiss innovation and pointed out that it could be a model of progress and quality.

The party ended with an evening of networking and entertainment at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, which has become a standard part of Sika's yearly get-togethers.

"Attributing our success in the Philippines to our customers, employees, regional and global leaders, and partners in both the public and private sectors, Sika Philippines is resolute in its commitment to continue building a legacy that will benefit from the country's future growth," said Christophe Lejeune, GM of Sika Philippines.
