Concentrix seeks to not only honor its commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its citizens, but also to do its part as the largest private employer in the Philippines and support the nation in its efforts to counter the pandemic by providing the vaccine as a free, voluntary aid to employees.
As part of a trilateral agreement with the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and the national government of the Philippines, Concentrix has already put an initial vaccine order for 50,000 recipients, half of whom will be for company employees and half of whom will be donated and distributed to priority sectors established by the government. The vaccines are in line with attempts to vaccinate all 108 million Filipinos by the Philippine government.
The well-being of workers is our highest priority and is simply the best thing to do, not only because of our size. Amit Jagga, Concentrix SVP and Philippines Country Chief, said: "We do everything we can to embrace various ways to care for our employees, and it is our honor to provide them with a vaccine completely free if they choose to take it." The distribution of the vaccines by the organization would require commissioning approved medical suppliers to prescribe them accordingly.
We have agreed to order the AstraZeneca vaccine as a socially conscious employer that is fanatical towards our workers, as it is accepted by international standards. As soon as the Philippine government authorities are able to get it into the country, we will have it. As other vaccines are accepted and as we have access to them, we are committed to continuing to provide our employees with them free of charge,” Jagga said.
Concentrix, recently honored as the Wellness Company of the Year in the Asia CEO Awards, places an emphasis on making investments that ensure the health and safety of workers in all its operations around the world. As they become available, it will release information on more vaccination orders.
