To honor National Heroes Day, Angkas lowers commissions to 0% on rides and deliveries.

On National Heroes' Day, August 29, the motorcycle taxi service will not charge commissions on any reservations, whether for trips or deliveries, as a token of appreciation and to commemorate its rider partners. As a result, the Angkas riders will receive 100% of the day's revenue from services, including trips and deliveries.

On National Heroes Day, all fares will be paid in full to riders who help commuters regain their freedom. Angkas CEO George Royeca recently told Angkas rider partners, "Ang Angkas malakas dahil sa inyo."

Royeca said, "We salute our national heroes on August 29 for the bikers who worked tirelessly to control and professionalize the motorcycle taxi industry." "Thanks to them, we are no longer plagued by the traffic and congestion that have diminished our quality of life. Our modern-day heroes have given us the freedom of mobility to travel securely and quickly, free from traffic, after years of being crippled by congestion. Filipino commuters may now be more productive, well-rested, content, and fulfilled, which is true freedom.

Throughout the years, Angkas rider partners have heroically served the Filipino people in various ways. Angkas is making it easier than ever for the 18 million motorcycle riders in the Philippines to create a comfortable, above-minimum-wage livelihood with a motorbike by demonstrating that they can be disciplined, polite, and safe. The long-standing, pejorative "kamote rider" stereotype is still being destroyed by Angkas riders, who have maintained a safety rating of 99.997% despite literally millions of bookings.

Angkas changed its focus during the pandemic to providing medicine and necessities to the public during a lockdown and providing free trips to emergency personnel and other frontline workers in the regions where it operates.

"So if a motorcycle has kept you out of traffic and congested areas, book a ride with Angkas on Monday, August 29, when the bikers will receive 100% of the fees,"
