As the pandemic continues, Globe continues to involve its consumers by offering Globe Rewards to help organizations and causes of their choosing. Customers have contributed P3.4 million in Rewards points to support those in need only in the first quarter of 2021.

The funds will be used to provide food, lodging, personal protective equipment (PPE) to 55 indigent cancer patients, meals, lodging, and PPE for frontline workers at the Philippine General Hospital. It will also benefit elderly priests and brothers, promote the preparation of mental health frontline responders, assist in the procurement of polio vaccines for children in the Rotary Foundation's care, and support ABS-CBN Bantay Bata's child protection and disaster response programs.

Under the Brigada ng Ayala initiative, a portion of the funds collected would also provide connectivity to 462 public school teachers and 51 marine conservation kits and learning resources to youth leaders.

In addition, 260 meals will be distributed to underserved families in Metro Manila. In Mindanao, 1,027 indigenous trees will be planted, with 555 rescued animals receiving medical treatment.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Globe, which shares our commitment to assisting families in need of urgent assistance during the pandemic. Hunger is a serious problem, and we can't solve it on our own. “By providing us with a resource stream through Globe Rewards and the GCash donation facility, Globe helps us support these initiatives while also empowering the public to contribute to hunger-relief efforts,” said Jose Maria Montelibano, Walang Iwanan Alliance Spokesperson.
“We are grateful for our customers' overwhelming support for our partner beneficiaries. Our customers also contribute positively to society by contributing their Rewards points to various advocacies, even though they are unable to leave their homes to engage in volunteer activities,” said Joey Kilayko, Head of Globe Rewards.

As a result, Globe is constantly on the lookout for new partners and unique causes to offer its customers more opportunities to support across the year. Globe Rewards currently supports the following partners and their respective causes:
  • ABS-CBN Foundation - Supports Bantay Bata 163 and Sagip Kapamilya's relief and recovery efforts for children in their care.
  • The Ayala Foundation connects public school teachers to the internet.
  • Hineleban Foundation - Restores Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur's primary forests JCI Manila - Uses Philippine native trees to beautify the Intramuros walled city.
  • Moments with Father Jerry Foundation - Assists the Society of the Divine Word's aged and ill priests and brothers (SVD)
  • The Natasha Goulbourn Foundation helps with the operations and training of new frontline responders for the 24/7 suicide prevention and mental distress hotline.
  • The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a non-profit organization that works to protect animals. Assists in the veterinary care of rescued animals.
  • PGH Medical Foundation - Assists our healthcare frontline workers and COVID-19 patients with much-needed assistance.
  • The Rotary Foundation - Supports global polio eradication efforts.
  • Children are educated about the wonders of marine biodiversity by Save Philippine Seas.
  • Walang Iwanan Alliance - Provides meals and nutrition to underserved Metro Manila families.

“On behalf of our foundation, we want to thank Globe for helping PGH frontliners and pediatric cancer patients through its Globe Rewards program,” said Arnaldo Cario, Vice President, PGH - Medical Foundation Inc.
“We want to express our gratitude for all of your contributions, which have aided our efforts to restore Mindanao's high mountain forests. However, with over 120 groups to work with, we still have thousands of hectares of land to reforest. So, through your Globe Rewards donation, we continue to ask for your help in planting more trees and aiding in our ongoing conservation efforts,” said James Tuason, Hineleban Foundation's Head of Reforestation.
“I'd like to express my gratitude to all Globe Rewards members! Last year, your support was critical in keeping our company alive during a tumultuous year for all. Your support this year will allow us to continue our work by developing marine conservation kits for children and youth. If we can't get people to the sea, we'll bring the sea to them,” said Anna Oposa, Executive Director and Chief Mermaid of Save Philippine Seas.

Through installing the Globe Rewards app at https://glbe.co/GRewardsApp, consumers can continue to donate their Rewards points to these partner organizations. Meat, shopping, health and wellbeing, transportation, and even entertainment can all be traded for rewards points. Customers may donate by clicking the “DONATE” banner, selecting the organization and denomination, and then pressing “REDEEM.” After a good donation, 4438 will send you a confirmation letter.
