Pilipinas Shell Inaugurates Upgraded Malampaya Exhibit at The Mind Museum |
Initially opened to the public in March 2012, the Malampaya Exhibit aims to inform people about natural gas which is a safer choice for the environment as an alternative to coal and oil. The exhibit also showcases the engineering feat conducted in the Malampaya project in Palawan to draw out the 2.7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in the said province.
Visitors of the Malampaya Exhibit will get a closer look on the journey of natural gas through a detailed and an experiential walkthrough where they can learn about how gas is formed, extracted, and distributed from start to end before it’s utilized as one of the main sources of power in up to 40% of homes in Luzon.
Aside from this, the young ones and even those who are kids-at-heart will be treated to interactive and fun learning with an interactive wall, and an augmented reality feature where the journey of natural gas is also highlighted. The revamped exhibit will also have a bigger space intended for the “How Things Work” wing which is located at the second level of The Mind Museum.
Take fun learning anywhere you go by downloading the free Journey to Malampaya application available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
