“Oakley has always been known for its innovation. This year, we’re very excited to announce that we are introducing the ARO series to the cycling community,” shared Oakley Philippines Marketing Manager Louren Lacanlale. “Three different helmets that address different issues about headgears like space, fit, and eyewear integration.”
“Oakley continues to up the game. With its entry in the Cycling Helmet Industry, we’re all excited to see how it changes and improves riders’ experience. This time we’ve got everyone covered from helmets, eyewear, kits, and accessories,” Lacanlale added.

Made in collaboration with different athletes to ensure that the products meet their needs, the Oakley ARO series are designed towards function. The ARO3, ARO5, and ARO7 helmets are housed in a lightweight polycarbonate shell and are equipped with MIPS Brain Protection System, a low friction layer separating the shell and the lining to reduce rotational motion on angled impact for superior protection. The said helmets are also lined with EPS Protective Foam made to absorb impact and road vibrations.

Another special element of the helmets is the BOA FS1-1 system, a 360-degree fit system with a soft, flexible, and thin lace lies flat inside the helmet for more snug and custom fit with less pressure on your temples.  With this, it is also easier to use shades as it doesn’t compete with space.

To prevent smelly odor because of sweat, the ARO helmets also come with X-STATIC Brow Pad which draws off the liquid and avoids bacterial growth.

Meanwhile, the ARO3 and ARO5 come with an eyewear dock allowing cyclists to stow glasses and easily get them when needed. The ARO7, on the other hand, has two visors that cyclists can use to swap out between Prizm Road and a clear lens.

Here are some of the unique features of each helmet:

ARO3

Made for riders in challenging climbs under the blazing heat, the ARO3 is the helmet to choose for ventilation and cooling, as it comes with large and long vents that allow airflow. The ARO 3 is available in three sizes and seven colors.

ARO5

The helmet apt for sprint finishers, the ARO5 is designed to be an aerodynamic model with a condensed tail and lesser vents. It also comes available in three sizes and seven colors.

ARO7

Compared to the ARO3 and the ARO5, the ARO7 is inspired by racecars and is fit for triathletes. It is designed with a short-tail to allow cyclists to move their heads freely without too much aero drawback. The ARO7 utilizes a Fidlock Magnetic Strap Buckle Closure similar to Oakley’s snow helmets which lock from any angle and release in one direction for a better and quicker helmet fitting. The ARO7 is available in white and matte black.

Aside from helmets, Oakley also brought in the country the Flight Jacket and the Field Jacket, the company’s addition to its optic technology offerings.

The Flight Jacket is made with a brow-less design while the Field Jacket has a raised brow line for a maximized upper field of view. Both of these glasses come with an Advancer nose bridge which positions the frames forward by 7mm, allowing more space for airflow for lesser fogging and overheating.

Available in seven colors and in Prizm, Prizm Polarized and Photochromic lenses, these aerodynamically designed frames are apt for running, cycling and other activities.
